TO MAKE A KITCHEN truly feel like the heart of a home it needs to be practical, but also feel warm and inviting. This kitchen was designed to handle everything a family can dish out. Its foolproof recipe: a mix of finishes— We used stained and painted cabinetry, limestone, granite and onyx stone surfaces, and even three styles of brass hardware.
TO CREATE THE fresh and modern feeling you would expect at a luxury resort, we drew inspiration from the tranquil elements of the beach and ocean. Soft, sea-foam walls and a freestanding sculptural soaker tub against a visually interesting mosaic half-wall make a stunning focal point.
THIS VERY FEMININE and elegant teen room balances bold fuchsia and tangerine with a good dose of neutral tones. To ensure the test of time, we added adult accents like luxurious fabrics, crystal lighting, and traditional furnishings. She’ll certainly grow up, but she will never grow out of this room.
AFTER RAISING FOUR children and then helping to raise their grandchildren, my clients opted to sell their old family home and move into a 55 and older community. The challenge: their limited budget forced them to retain most if not all of the furniture they acquired back in the sixties and seventies. Our solution: to re-imagine and work with what they had.
THE VIBRANT FLORAL pattern on the embroidered linen fabric inspired the brightly painted whimsical flowers framing the room. Trim, tassels, and tapes embellish the pillows, panels, and cushions to create timeless details.
